Perseverance

Good Morning Family and Friends! As I sit here by my window watching the rain fall, I remind myself of one thing, in the weeks to come I have to continue to persevere. The following poem is from the book entitled, "Chicken Soup for the Unsinkable Soul". I think of it as a perfect way to describe the desire of my mind, heart and soul. Today I am planning on stopping by WSU's Health and Wellness Services to set up meeting times with a therapist. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers that the professional guidance that I will receive will be just the ticket to heal the emotional and mental agony I find myself going through. On a lighter note, I have only one class for the day and it's one of my favorite subjects, Sign Language! Love to all!

When all the world is looming dark
And things seem not so clear,
When shadows seem to hover 'round
Lord, may I persevere.

When it seems everyth
ing's been tried
And there's no way to go,
Just let me keep remembering
Sometimes the journey's slow.

I may just need to stop and rest
Along the path I trod,
A time to try to understand
And have my talk with God.

As I gain new strength to carry on
Without a doubt or fear,
Somehow I know things will be right,
And so, I persevere.

Katie,

Thanks for the poem, it's a new one for me.

Two other comments:

1.) If you do not feel comfortable with your assigned counselor or therapist, be sure to request another. As you can well imagine, some are good and some not so good.

2.) What other courses are you taking.

Love, Uncle Doug
