Fast and the Furious: Scooter Edition

Today, Thursday, August 21, 2008 an addition to the Black Family Household was welcomed quite eagerly. Hamilton's Health Solutions where I have purchased wheelchairs for the span of my life was gracious enough to let us take home, on loan, unfortunately, an electric cobalt blue scooter. I will be able to go back to Wright State University in style and speed. I don't think I'd have as much of an oomph without it to head back to Dayton on September 3rd. I am blessed to have such a sweet ride!

Navigating the narrow hallway was awkward at first, and mom said that I reminded her of Austin Powers (forward, reverse, forward, reverse...).

However, when Meghan tried it out she proclaimed that it turned on a dime, and she and Christina had contests to see who could turn corners the fastest. We were all surprised when Christina was able to turn at full speed. She only hit the wall twice!

After that, Meghan and I took a walk around the block. My scooter made me a celebrity!

P.S. If any of you see a middle-aged woman who resembles my mom driving my scooter, please notify the authorities. She threatened grand theft scooter when it arrived.
